Privacy Policy

Compare Cab for Android · Effective 21 August 2026

This privacy policy applies to the Compare Cab app for mobile devices, together with any related services operated by Parth Gupta (collectively, the "Application"). Parth Gupta is referred to below as the "Service Provider".

How the Application works

Cab companies do not publish their fares through a public interface. To compare prices, the Application opens each cab app you have selected, one after another, and reads the fares shown on screen. It does this using Android's Accessibility Service, which you must turn on yourself.

What the Accessibility Service can and cannot see. While a comparison is running, the service reads on-screen text from the cab apps you selected, and only those apps. It is restricted at the operating system level to Uber, Ola, InDrive and Rapido, and cannot read any other app on your device.

It reads only what is needed to identify ride options and prices. It does not read, store or transmit passwords, messages, payment details or personal account information. The fares it collects stay on your device and are not sent to the Service Provider or to anyone else.

The service runs only during a comparison that you start, and stops when the comparison finishes. You can turn it off at any time in Android Settings → Accessibility.

Uninstalling the Application deletes all of this.

What the Application does not collect

The Application has no sign-in and no user accounts. It does not ask for or collect your name, email address, phone number, payment details or contacts.

Cookies and tracking technologies

The Application and the third-party SDKs listed above may use SDKs, device identifiers and similar technologies to support functionality, analytics and advertising. Where applicable law requires it, the Service Provider will obtain your consent before using non-essential tracking technologies.

Advertising

The Application shows ads supplied by Google AdMob, which uses your Advertising ID to select and measure them. You can limit this at any time on your device:

Third-party services

The Application uses the following third-party services, each of which handles data under its own privacy policy:

The third-party services above may process personal data in countries outside your country of residence, including outside the European Economic Area. Where applicable law requires safeguards for such transfers, the Service Provider relies on recognised transfer mechanisms, including Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission, adequacy decisions, or your consent where required and legally permitted.

Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data. You may also withdraw consent where processing is based on consent, without affecting processing carried out before you withdrew it. To exercise any of these rights, contact the Service Provider at app.dailytech@gmail.com.

Opting out

You can stop all further collection by uninstalling the Application through the normal Android uninstall process. You can also stop the Accessibility Service on its own, at any time, in Android Settings → Accessibility, without uninstalling.

Uninstalling stops future collection but does not automatically delete information already transmitted to third parties. To request deletion, contact app.dailytech@gmail.com.

Data retention

The Application is not intended for children under 18 years of age, and the Service Provider does not knowingly collect personal information from them or market the Application to them. The Service Provider takes safeguarding your information seriously and applies physical, electronic and procedural safeguards to protect the information it processes. Data transmitted between the Application and the third-party services listed above is encrypted in transit.

Data breach notification

If a data breach affects your personal data, the Service Provider will notify you in accordance with applicable legal requirements, including, where required, the nature of the breach and the steps being taken to address it.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated from time to time. Material changes will be notified by posting the updated policy with a new effective date, and where the law requires it, your consent will be sought before those changes take effect.
